DANSILI is having yet another tremendous season. He is currently tying with Galileo as the leading stallion in the Northern Hemisphere by blacktype winners, his tally of 15 including the impressive Gr.1 Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris winner and Arc favourite Flintshire and recent US Gr.1 winner Laughing.

In the past four seasons, no British-based stallion has produced more Group/Graded Stakes winners – or indeed Group 1 winners (bred in the Northern Hemisphere) – as DANSILI, and Royal Ascot winners Thomas Chippendale, Riposte and Remote have helped to boost the tally this season. Flintshire is the highest-rated 12f three-year-old in Europe according to Timeform, while Remote’s current rating of 119p suggests that he too could make the necessary progression to become the 15th Group 1 winner for his sire.

One of the hallmarks of DANSILI's progeny is their consistency, toughness and durability. Of his 82 blacktype winners, over half have won multiple blacktype races. Falling into this category in 2013 are the talented four-year-old Dank and Australian Gr.1 winner Foreteller, as well as the aforementioned Flintshire and Laughing. Unexposed three-year-old stakes winners Nevis, Vancouverite and Zibelina look like prime candidates to join them.

DANSILI's progeny have won or placed in 82 Gr.1 races and have won a total of 178 blacktype races. He has also now been represented by Gr.1 winners both as a grandsire and as a broodmare sire. For a stallion who spent half his career standing at £12,500 or less, it really is an impressive achievement.

Foals on the ground in 2013 include full or half-siblings to Gr.1 winners Proviso, Byword, Redwood, Aqlaam, Brian Boru, Giofra, Fallen For You,  Lillie Langtry, Flotilla, Sixties Icon, Sariska and Silasol, as well as progeny of  Gr.1 winning mares African Rose, Balisada, Damson, Daryakana, Etoile Montante, Field Of Hope, Indian Ink, Insight, Love Divine, Miss Keller, Occupandiste, Rosanara, Russian Rhythm and Together.

With such strong representation to come in the future, DANSILI's success should continue apace.
