MIZZEN MAST continued, over the weekend, to exhibit the reason why he has such international appeal as, barely into 2013  he already has 3 stakes winners in 3 different countries on 3 different surfaces. Read the excerpt below to find out about his newest black type winner...

Taken from February 11th edition for the European Breeders' News:

After winning the first two maidens on the Cagnes-Sur-Mer card, trainer Jean-Claude Rouget completed a hattrick when Courcy just held on from the fast-finishing grey Anazone (Anabaa) in the Listed Prix de la Californie, a 1600m all-weather contest for three-year-olds. The son of MIZZEN MAST had won on his debut at Deauville in July before finishing last in a Listed contest there a month later, though he was less than six lengths behind the winner and had had the benefit of a run this year, finishing second over this course and distance on 19th January. The Tinnakill Bloodstock-bred colt, a dual graduate of the Arqana sales ring, is a son of the Bahhare mare Insan Mala, a winner at Fairyhouse as a two-year-old and later successful at Stakes level in the US. The mare also has a two-year-old King’s Best colt named Inseo and a yearling filly from the first crop by Vision D’Etat.
