The first crop of the three-time Gr.1 winner CHAMPS ELYSEES are two-year-olds this year, and Juddmonte Farms is looking forward to an exciting season from this full-brother to leading sires DANSILI and Cacique.

Juddmonte is sending 17 well-bred CHAMPS ELYSEES two-year-olds into training - with trainers including Sir Michael Stoute, Andre Fabre, Roger Charlton and Dermot Weld - amid promising reports from Juddmonte’s pre-training manager Rory Mahon and racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe.

“His two-year-olds have really started to come together and I am very pleased with their progress,” said Rory. “I will be very surprised if we don’t see some winners out of this bunch this year.”

Teddy Grimthorpe added: “The CHAMPS ELYSEES two-year-olds have kept on improving since breaking and have progressed very pleasingly. After the success we have enjoyed with the offspring of DANSILI and Cacique, we have every expectation that CHAMPS ELYSEES can follow in his brothers' footsteps."

As one would expect from Juddmonte – who have bred the first Gr.1 winners by 10 of their stallions – CHAMPS ELYSEES has received full support since his retirement to stud, covering over 100 mares in each of his first three seasons. His first book of mares from Juddmonte included the dams of Prix Jean Prat Gr.1 winner Mutual Trust, Gr.2 winners Permit and Famous Name and leading 1000 Guineas hope Big Break, as well as Rainbow Lake, the dam of Gr.1 winner Powerscourt and last season's Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris Gr.1 runner-up Last Train, and the grand-dam of world champion FRANKEL.

Other Juddmonte mares that visited CHAMPS ELYSEES in 2010 included full or half-sisters to Gr.1 winners Beat Hollow, Commander In Chief, Passage Of Time, Senure, Timepiece and Warning; Group 2 winners Father Time, Dance Routine and Showcasing; and July Cup Gr.1 runner-up Main Aim.

In total, 25% of his first two-year-olds are half-siblings to blacktype performers.

CHAMPS ELYSEES stands at Banstead Manor Stud for a fee of £5,000 SLF.
