OASIS DREAM enjoyed a valuable double with his two-year-olds on Saturday (5th October) as the sire of both Tattersalls Millions race winners at Newmarket.

The Charlie Appleby-trained Wedding Ring was the first to score, winning the 7f Tattersalls Millions 2YO Fillies’ Trophy for Godolphin, with Fashion Fund, also by OASIS DREAM, staying on for third. This was the second Tattersalls Millions success for Wedding Ring, who landed the 6f Fillies’ Median Auction Stakes last month (with Fashion Fund again in third). The filly was bred by Swettenham Stud and sold at Tattersalls last year for 310,000 guineas.

In the following race, Oklahoma City was the assertive winner of the 7f Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy - the richest two-year-old race in Europe - for Aidan O’Brien and the Coolmore team, the victory following on from second placings in the Juddmonte Beresford Stakes Gr.2 and Anglesey Stakes Gr.3. The colt was purchased as a yearling last year for 675,000 guineas from the consignment of Meon Valley Stud, and his half-brother by DANSILI is catalogued as lot 409 at Tattersalls this week.

Oklahoma City is the second winner of the Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy for OASIS DREAM, after Oasis Dancer's victory in 2009.

OASIS DREAM has 15 yearlings catalogued to sell in Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Sale this week, including colts out of multiple Gr.1 winner Dar Re Mi and the Oaks winner Love Divin (dam of Sixties Icon), and a half-brother to top sprinter Equiano.
