A $380,000 yearling filly at the Keeneland September Sale is but one of the offspring of MIZZEN MAST who has heated things up for the Gr.1 winning sire and producer this September. The filly is a full sister to Gr.3 winner Strike the Bell (MIZZEN MAST) and is from the immediate family of such recent stars as Hymn Book and Data Link.  The gray beauty caught the eye of experienced agent James Delahooke who purchased her on behalf of Winsong Farm.

Two year old Straight Thinking (MIZZEN MAST), is another daughter who has turned up the heat this week, finishing second in the Prix D'Aumale Gr.3 at Chantilly on Tuesday. First on debut, second in her subsequent start, the Gr.3 Prix du Calvados, and now second in another Graded stakes race, the filly has proven herself a consistent top class performer in her three lifetime starts. Being a half-sister to Gr.1 winner Announce, there is every reason to think she has the potential to perform at even higher levels.

Stonetastic, another two year old filly by sire of note MIZZEN MAST, turned up the temperature when finishing just behind the winner in the Gr.2 Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs on Saturday.  Another debut winner (by a widening 12 lengths in hand), the promise she has shown in her two starts leads one to believe she has star potential.
