Filimbi (MIZZEN MAST) scored a decisive victory for her sire on Monday when taking the Prix Isola Bella L. at Chantilly.

The Criquette Head-Maarek trainee was not deterred by the heavy going and was happy to relax midpack for the majority of the 1600 metre race.  100 meteres from the end, she made her move, overcoming her adversaries to score comfortably in her black type debut.

The filly, a daughter of Kentucky Oaks Gr.1 and Alabama Gr.1 heroine Flute, has never been off the board in any of her seven starts and stands as her dam's first black type winner.  MIZZEN MAST's newest stakes winner has proven herself very useful indeed and stands full of promise as she points toward a 2014 campaign.
