Last weekend proved another highly fruitful one for DANSILI, who gained his 13th individual Group 1 winner when Flintshire won the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp.

Trained by Andre Fabre, Flintshire took a keen hold during the race but quickened up impressively to win by 1½ lengths, easing up close to the line. Flintshire had won the Prix du Lys Longines Gr.3 on his previous start, and after his latest victory looks to be one of the leading contenders for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe Gr.1 in October.

"He has great acceleration and is a very exciting horse," said Fabre. "In principle he'll be back here in September to run in the Prix Niel as a prep for the Arc."

This was the third winner of the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris for DANSILI, following RAIL LINK and Zambezi Sun.

Elsewhere over the weekend, Flintshire’s five-year-old full-brother Dance Moves won the Prix Louis Desboudet L. at Vichy. Their dam, Dance Routine, has a yearling filly by OASIS DREAM and is back in foal to DANSILI.

Meanwhile, Ashdan was second in the Stubbs Stakes L. at Newmarket and Giofra was third in the Falmouth Stakes Gr.1 (a race she was victorious in last year).

DANSILI is currently the joint-leading sire by blacktype winners (TDN General Sires List, 15th July).

Fellow Juddmonte sire OASIS DREAM enjoyed two new stakes winners in Jwala, winner of the City Walls Stakes L. at York, and Ladyship, winner of the Raymond Corbett Memorial City Plate L. at Chester. In South Africa, the very consistent Welwitschia was runner-up in the Mercury Sprint Gr.1 at Clairwood.
