DANSILI is the leading Northern Hemisphere sire by Gr.1 winners worldwide in 2013 (TDN Statistics, 18th August), with five individual Gr.1 winners to his name this season.

Propelling him to the top of the list was Dank's impressive success in the Beverley D Stakes Gr.1 at Arlington on Saturday (17th August). The Sir Michael Stoute-trained filly, who is owned and bred by James Wigan of London Thoroughbred Services, won by 4½ lengths, and is now automatically qualified for the Breeders' Cup at the end of the season.

It was the first time the four-year-old had stepped up to Gr.1 level, having previously won the Kilboy Stud Stakes Gr.2 and Dahlia Stakes Gr.3 this year.

Dank has a two-year-old half-brother by OASIS DREAM named Household Cavalry in training with Aidan O'Brien, who sold for 260,000 as a foal.

Also at Arlington, the ever consistent Dandino (DANSILI) won the American St Leger and is now bound for the Melbourne Cup. Dandino's dam, Generous Diana, has a yearling filly and a colt foal by DANSILI's full-brother CHAMPS ELYSEES.

DANSILI is now the sire of 16 individual Gr.1 winners in total.

Meanwhile, Sarkiyla (OASIS DREAM) was a strong-finishing second to the Juddmonte-bred Romantica in the Prix Jean Romanet Gr.1 at Deauville.
