DANSILI continues his run as the leading Northern Hemisphere sire by Gr.1 winners for 2013, with The Fugue's win in yesterday's Yorkshire Oaks taking the Juddmonte stallion up to six individual Gr.1 winners this season - two ahead of his closest rivals.

Taken from the Racing Post 23/08/13:

The Fugue displayed a hugely impressive cruising speed and a blistering turn of foot to win the Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York on Thursday.
The four-year-old's win continues a memorable season for her sire DANSILI, who has been in red-hot form.
The Fugue is the Juddmonte stallion's third top-level winner in August following Beverly D Stakes winner Dank and Nassau Stakes scorer Winsili, who is a stablemate of The Fugue at John Gosden's Clarehaven Stables.
The Danehill stallion has sired three other Group/Grade 1 winners this year - Laughing, Flintshire and Foreteller - and also appeared as the damsire of last month's Irish Oaks winner Chicquita, his first Group 1 winner as a broodmare sire.
Bred and raced by Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber, The Fugue is the second foal out of Ribblesdale Stakes runner-up Twyla Tharp, who is a half-sister to the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winner Summoner and Eclipse Stakes hero Compton Admiral.
The Sadler's Wells mare, whose two other winners include maiden scorer Ducab, topped last year's Tattersalls December mares sale when purchased by Nicolas de Watrigant of Mandore International for 1.7 million gns. The Dansili-Sadler's Wells nick is also responsible for Flintshire, who is a leading fancy for the Arc following his win in the Grand Prix de Paris.
