The first foals by track record-breaking sprinter BATED BREATH (DANSILI) are on the ground. The first, a bay filly out of Precious Secret (Fusaichi Pegasus) - pictured top - was born at Barton Stud on 11th January.
Peter Veenbaas of Stourbank Stud, owner of the filly, commented: “She is a very nice foal, very strong and we are really pleased with her. She is a great advert for the stallion.”

BATED BREATH's second foal - pictured below - was another bay filly, out of Cat O’Nine Tails (Motivator) – a winning half-sister to Group 3 winner Purr Along (recently sold at Tattersalls for 1 million guineas). She arrived on 17th January at Aston Mullins Stud.

Courtney Prestage, stud groom at Aston Mullins, reported: “She is a classy filly with great presence and a wonderful attitude. She is a good walker with strong, clean limbs. Our favourite so far!”

BATED BREATH was one of the most consistent sprinters of his generation, winning the Temple Stakes Gr.2 in track record time and placing in five Gr.1 contests, including second in the July Cup. He is the highest-rated sprinter by his sire Dansili, and covered 146 mares in his first season at stud.
