Taken from European Bloodstock News, 23rd March:

Ertijaal (OASIS DREAM), off the course since landing his maiden at Yarmouth in June, made a winning start to his three-year-old campaign by winning the Listed Spring Cup.

Settled behind the leader, he was sent to the front two furlongs out and quickened clear, but he was soon challenged by the fast-finishing American Hope (Lemon Drop Kid). He pushed the winner all the way to the line, but could not quite get on terms with the son of OASIS DREAM.

The colt, who holds entries in both the Gr.1 2000 Guineas and its Irish equivalent, has now won two of his three starts.

Owned and bred by Hamdan Al Maktoum, he is a half-brother to the Listed Rockingham Stakes-second Odooj (Pivotal), who was also fourth in the Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes.
