February 17 at Aqueduct Mizzen Max, a four-year-old filly by MIZZEN MAST, won a $57,000 allowance race going  6 ½ furlongs in the mud.

It was the first start of the year for Mizzen Max and the fourth of her career, all in New York. After pressing the pace from the start she was four wide turning for home, took the lead deep in the stretch and prevailed in game fashion. She has posted two wins and two seconds from four starts and has earned $91,400. Racing for her breeder, Galen Ho’o, Mizzen Max is the second foal out of Taxi Dancer, a young stakes placed daughter of Not for Love. Taxi Dancer’s dam is a half sister to the graded stakes winner Devils Honor, winner of $794,690.
