May 25th at Churchill Downs Maybe Wicked, a three-year-old filly by MIZZEN MAST, won a $53,000 Maiden Special by 4 ¼ lengths, covering 6 furlongs in 1:09 and 3, besting nine other fillies.


Maybe Wicked finished second in her debut going a mile on grass but was moved to the dirt for her impressive win by trainer Brad Cox. This filly is a full sister to two stakes winning fillies by MIZZEN MAST, Money’soncharlotte and Mizzcan’tbewrong.


Money’soncharlotte has won the Gr.3 Molly Pitcher, the Lady Jacqueline Stakes, Hut Hut Stakes, and Ladies Secret Stakes, finished second in the Gr.1 Beldame, Gr.2 Chilukki Stakes, third in the Gr.2 Gazelle and Silverbulletday Stakes, and has earned $576,795.


Mizzcan’tbewrong won the Reluctant Guest Stakes at Arlington, the Minnesota H. B. P. A. Mile at Canterbury twice, the Tiara Stakes, ran second in the Bayou Handicap at the Fair Grounds, the Canterbury Lassie Stakes, and third in the Blushing K. D. Handicap for earnings of $352,117.


Maybe Wicked was bred by and races for Dr. Oscar Bonavides and was foaled in Kentucky.
