FRANKEL 2YO East maintained her unbeaten record to land the Prix Thomas Bryon Gr.3 on Friday (5th October).

Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 6th October 2018

The daughter of Frankel, trained by Kevin Ryan, broke well in the 1400m contest and was settled in second under a hold by Stephane Pasquier as Pretty Boy led the way. Pure Zen was quickly hustled into the lead and East looked briefly flat-footed on the turn for home as Dubai Dominion and Ecolo made their moves from the back on either side of her.

Pasquier was forced to pull the filly widest of all to launch her challenge, but once in the clear she was stoked up by him to kick on with 200m to go. She hit the front with 100m to run and stormed clear to win by two and a half lengths from Pretty Boy, with Pure Zen another half-length away in third. Bred by Mitaab Abdullah, East smashed the record price for a Goresbridge breeze-up purchase in May when knocked down to Stephen Hillen for €315,000.
