BOOK 2 CONCLUDES WITH KINGMAN TOP SIRE BY AVERAGE

The Tattersalls October Yearling Book 2 sale concluded yesterday with KINGMAN reaching an average of 256,111gns for his nine yearlings sold.

His top lot and also the highest priced of the sale, a colt consigned by Hazelwood Bloodstock, made 750,000gns selling to Stroud Coleman Bloodstock.

BATED BREATH also finished Book 2 with a very robust average, 71,318gns for 11 sold. His top lot was a Rathbarry Stud-consigned colt from the family of Holy Roman Emperor who was purchased by Shadwell Estate company for 175,000gns.

OASIS DREAM's top Book 2 yearling reached 280,000gns. The filly, bred by Cyril Humphris and consigned by Barton Stud, is out of Group producing mare, Goleta. An OASIS DREAM colt Bought for 250,000gns will be winging his way to Hong Kong after being purchased by Mark Richards of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Richards said: "This is a lovely uncomplicated, athletic horse by Oasis Dream who has a good record in Hong Kong."

Despite limited representation at the sale DANSILI also managed to grab some limelight when his daughter consigned by Stauffenberg Bloodstock became the the second highest priced lot of day 2, selling for 360,000gns. His average for the sale was 128,000gns for four sold.
