The Gr.3 Prix de La Porte Maillot, the feature race at ParisLongchamp yesterday, was won in classy style by last year’s Gr.1 Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Polydream (OASIS DREAM).

The four-year-old daughter of OASIS DREAM, trained by Freddy Head, raced as the back marker of the six-runner field as Trois Mille set a good pace up front. The pace steadied up as they turned for home and Maxime Guyon pulled Polydream out to make her challenge.

She quickened up smartly, hit the front in a matter of strides and ran on to score by a half a length from Marianafoot. Spinning Memories was a length and a half back in third.

Polydream landed the Prix du Calvados Gr.3 at two before coming second to Wild Illusion in the Prix Marcel Boussac Gr.1. At three, she claimed the Prix du Palais-Royal Gr.3 before going on to Gr.1 glory in the Prix Maurice de Gheest.
