The Juddmonte stallions posted some strong results at the conclusion of Tattersalls October Book 1 Yearling Sale last week.

FRANKEL was the third leading sire by average (three or more sold) behind Galileo and Dubawi. His Book 1 average was £491,591 (for 22 sold). KINGMAN took fifth place in the table with an average of £401,788 for 29 sold.

FRANKEL's highest priced lot, a colt out of Fleche d'Or, proved to be the highlight of day two making 3,100,000gns. The half-brother to Derby and Arc hero Golden Horn was bought by Sheikh Mohammed and became the second-highest priced yearling colt the the world so far in 2019.

A filly from the family of Gr.1 winners Tamayuz and Anabaa Blue was FRANKEL's second-highest priced yearling of the sale. Bought by Laurent Benoit, on behalf of Gestut Westerberg's Georg Von Opel, the filly made 850,000gns, the highest-priced filly of the day. Benoit said: "She is a Frankel from the very nice family of Allez Les Trois. It is difficult to buy a filly such as this with such a pedigree. Her half-brother Santiago is now a winner, and the dam's half-sister Riqa  had a good two-year-old winner by Kingman last month."

KINGMAN registered  two seven figure yearlings over the course of the Book 1 sale. His first was colt out of a full sister to multiple Gr.1 winner Fame And Glory and went to the Godolphin team for 2,300,000gns. Another KINGMAN colt, bred by Australian John Camilleri was picked up by M V Magnier for 1,800,000gns. Consignor Adrian O'Brien of Hazelwood Bloodstock commented: "This has been the most magnificent horse from day one. He oozed quality and is out of a super fast mare from Australia. My sincere thanks to his breeder John Camilleri for allowing us to take care of this mare and her progeny and the very best of luck to MV Magnier and the Coolmore team; he looks like a proper racehorse."

An OASIS DREAM colt consigned by Newsells Park Stud made 350,000gns on day one of the sale. The colt had received a timely update to his catalogue page when Japan won this year's Juddmonte International Stakes Gr.1 at York in August. OASIS DREAM's average for the sale was £108,850 (for six lots sold) for a crop of yearlings conceived at £50,000 fee.

DANSILI's final crop of yearlings performed well at October Book 1. A filly consigned by Castlebridge was bought by Highflyer Bloodstock for 380,000gns. A colt from the family of Zoffany and Rostropovich was purchased by Godolphin for 320,000gns
