Taken from European Bloodstock News, 18th July 2019:

Frankie fever had hit Killarney for the first time and crowds mobbed the parade ring to catch a glimpse of the superstar jockey before the opening race on the penultimate day of the Kerry track’s five-day July Festival. The Sicilian was aboard the Fozzy Stack-trained Lady Wannabe (Camelot) for the day’s feature race, the 1m Listed Cairn Rouge Stakes, and he almost stole it from the front, only to be denied late on by the Colin Keane-ridden favourite Viadera (BATED BREATH) of Ger Lyons’s.

Lady Wannabe broke well and went straight to the front. Afforded an easy lead, she took the 11-runner field into the final quarter of a mile still on the bridle, prompting loud cheers from the crowd. Viadera, however, was beginning to get going and she soon joined the leader, and the pair had a set-to to the finish, where Viadera won on the nod. Simply Beautiful (Galileo) stayed on well from the back, a length and a quarter behind the front two.

Viadera won on debut at two, over 6f at the Curragh, and, having been second in the Gr.3 Anglesey Stakes over half a furlong further, she flopped in the Gr.2 Debutante Stakes at the end of her juvenile career. She returned this year in the Gr.3 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown, finishing down the field, but won a 1m Premier Handicap back at the Curragh before coming third in the 7f Listed Eternal Stakes at Carlisle last time out.

The Juddmonte homebred is a three-parts sister to the Listed Blue Riband Trial winner and Gr.2 Prix Eugene Adam runner-up Crossed Baton (DANSILI), out of the winner Sacred Shield (Beat Hollow). This is the family of the Gr.1 winners Twice Over (OBSERVATORY), Timepiece (ZAMINDAR) and Passage Of Time (DANSILI).
