The first three home in yesterday's (23rd May) Heron Stakes L. at Sandown were all sired by KINGMAN.
The trio was headed up by King Of Comedy who put two and a half lengths between him and runner up Roseman. Homebred Sangarius was a further length and a quarter back in third place.
John Gosden said: "He's a very talented horse. He's going through the adolescent phase
from boy to young man and I think mentally he is still in the
development stage. To that extent, he is a work in progress and
he is the most genuine generous horse. While I see him being
comfortably able to go a mile and a quarter in time, right now a
mile is fine. He is in the St James's Palace Stakes and all that sort of
thing. You can certainly look at that sort of race, but I think he is
trying to tell me that mentally there is still a way to go."
