JUDDMONTE STALLIONS TO COVER TO SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE TIME
Juddmonte is pleased to offer its roster of UK-based stallions to breeders in the Southern Hemisphere once again. The roster is headed by two of the most exciting young stallions in the world, FRANKEL and KINGMAN.
FRANKEL has made an outstanding start at stud with 28 Group winners to date, including six Group 1 winners, from his first three crops. His Southern Hemisphere blacktype horses include Tea Rose Stakes Gr.2 winner Miss Fabulass and the high regarded, Group 1-placed Frankely Awesome. Frankel was the leading sire at Royal Ascot in 2018, and the average official rating of his British and Irish runners to the beginning of May 2019 is an incredible 91 lbs (higher than any other European stallion), with 17% blacktype winners to runners.
Champion miler KINGMAN has made an outstanding start to his stud career, with eight stakes winners including Classic winner Persian King and exciting Group 2 winning sprinter Calyx from his first crop. His stock continue to be extremely well-received at the sales, and his yearling average in 2018 was over £272,941 (41 sold) with a top price of £1,050,000gns – making Kingman the fourth leading sire in Europe by yearling average behind Galileo, Dubawi and Frankel. Most recently, his first foal to sell in Australia at the Magic Millions National Sale made AUS$260,000.
EXPERT EYE, the first British-trained winner of the Breeders’ Cup Mile since 1994, has made a fantastic start to his stud career with a full book of 140 mares. His win in the Vintage Stakes Gr.2 was described by Timeform as “Arguably the most striking performance by a two-year-old in a Pattern race all year.” That early talent was carried over into his three-year-old season when he captured the seven-furlong Jersey Stakes Gr.3 at Royal Ascot in scintillating fashion, winning by the largest margin this century (four-and-a-half lengths).
The fourth generation Juddmonte homebred hails from the family of Champion 2YO Filly in Europe and dual Classic winner Special Duty and is sired by Acclamation, a consistent and prolific source of fast horses and sire of leading stallion Dark Angel.
OASIS DREAM was Europe’s most reliable source of Group 1 speed in 2018. He had two new Group 1 winners and with five two-year-old stakes performers in 2018 there is plenty to look forward to. BATED BREATH has had a remarkable spring with nine blacktype performers already this year including Dahlia Stakes Gr.2 winner Worth Waiting – more than any other stallion standing for £20,000 or less in Europe.
BATED BREATH: £5,000 SLF
EXPERT EYE: £12,000 SLF
FRANKEL: £80,000 SLF
KINGMAN: £70,000 SLF
