BATED BREATH FOAL TOPS DAY 2 OF TATTERSALLS
A BATED BREATH colt topped day two of the Tattersalls Foal Sale yesterday (28th November) when he was knocked down for 185,000gns. The Jamie Railton-consigned foal was bought by pinhookers Brendan and Ger Morrin.
The colt, who is from the family of Dream Ahead and Fairyland, was bred by Colin and Melba Bryce's Laundry Cottage Stud. Colin Bryce said: “For this foal we went to BATED BREATH, a sire I love and such a
neat, athletic son of DANSILI. He had to make his way, but the results
have finally come through, and yet he’s very well-priced. We are a
small stud and if we don’t get paid for what we produce we cannot
go in again.”
Consignor Jamie Railton indicated that the Bryces had originally planned to sell
the colt as a yearling: "He's a lovely colt and physically
really impressive so he looked such a good foal [sale] prospect."
