Fearless King battled to a German Guineas triumph this afternoon (1st June) to give KINGMAN his second Classic winner.

Taken from the Thoroughbred Daily News, 1st June 2020:

Stall Salzburg’s Fearless King (KINGMAN) ran third behind Rubaiyat in Hoppegarten’s Dr Busch-Memorial Gr.3 (10th May) and exacted a measure of revenge to outpoint that game rival to secure today's 35th Mehl-Mulhens-Rennen Gr.2 German 2000 Guineas over one mile at Cologne.

Settled off the tempo in fourth until encouraged closer once into the home straight, the 5-2 second favourite gained a narrow advantage entering the final furlong and withstood the vain rally of Rubaiyat in the closing stages to hold on for a career high.
