2YO becomes Oasis Dream's 200th stakes performer

The Andre Fabre-trained Erasmo (pictured as a yearling) earned his first blacktype in the Listed Prix Saraca at Chantilly on Saturday (10th October) to become Oasis Dream's 200th blacktype performer.

Godolphin’s Erasmo (Oasis Dream) bagged the rails and came home in front, scoring by a length and a quarter from Saqr, with Ludo third and a tired favourite Dark Lion fading to finish fifth.

Purchased by Rabbah Bloodstock for 140,000gns at Tattersalls as a yearling, he was bred by Car Colston Hall Stud out of its winning Efisio mare Sant Elena. Her other progeny include the 2012 Prix Morny Gr.1 and Middle Park Stakes Gr.1 winner Reckless Abandon, Japanese Listed winner Best Approach and the Irish Listed-placed FamilyTree. Sant Elena is a half-sister to the Gr.1-winning sprinter Brando and the US Gr.1 heroine Ticker Tape and the grandam is a half-sister to the Gr.1-winning juvenile Crowded House.
