KINGMAN COLT LEADS FIRST DAY OF TATTERSALLS BOOK 2

A KINGMAN colt, consigned by Norelands Stud, was purchased by Anthony Stroud on behalf of Godolphin for 400,000gns yesterday (12th October) to top day one of Tattersalls Book 2.

Bred by John Camilleri out of Allez Y, the colt comes from the family of Champion L'Ancresse. Stroud commented: "He is a well-balanced horse, he moves well and we have had a lot of luck with KINGMAN. He is from Norelands, who do such a good job, and he will go to France to be trained by Andre Fabre."

BATED BREATH had a strong day with yearlings making 120,000gns, 80,000gns and 70,000gns. Lot 727, a filly out of winning mare Desire who has already produced a winner from her first foal, was purchased for 120,000gns by Sackville Donald. The filly was consigned by Furnace Mill Stud and was bred by Peter and Julie Baldwin, who have bred three generations of this family (including Royal Ascot winner Frederick Engels).
