Another stakes win for Viadera

Juddmonte homebred Viadera (Bated Breath) added to her blacktype record with a win in the Listed De La Rose Stakes race at Saratoga on 17th July.

Viadera transferred to the US with trainer Chad Brown for her four-year-old season. Already a Listed winner and Group 3-placed she was making her second start for Brown, previously placing fourth in the Gr.3 Intercontinental Stakes at Belmont Park in June.

Brown commented: "I was really pleased with her trip. Joel [Rosario] got to know her that first time out. It's been strating. She's been ready to run for months now and with cancellations and such, we had to just sprint her the first time. She got a race under her belt, but she trained much sharper the second time out, and she showed that leaving the gate."

He continued: "She kind of lost herself back in the field in her last race. We expected her to get better position this time. I thought Joel did a great job."
