Call The Wind in front again

Call The Wind (Frankel) captured his second Group race of the season with a win in the Gr.2 Prix Kergorlay at Deauville yesterday (23rd August).

Taken from the European Bloodstock News, 24th August 2020:

The high-class Call The Wind went one better than last year to score in the Prix Kergorlay Gr.2, adding to his previous success at Deauville this year in the Prix de Barbeville Gr.3. The British raider Collide (Frankel) set off at the head of affairs in yesterday’s contest, quickly opening up a big lead on Call The Wind under Olivier Peslier and Ashrun as the field progressed. The order changed little until the home straight, where Call The Wind accelerated smoothly into the lead with over 400m to go. Although Ashrun tried hard in second, the winner never looked like being caught and had a length and a half in hand at the line. Windstoss.

Trainer Freddy Head commented after the race: "Call The Wind always runs his race, he has never let us down and won well as the good horse that he is. The season is not finished yet so we might bounce back in the [Prix du] Cadran [Gr.1 ParisLongchamp]."
